Recommendation: vote yes

North Dakota has citizen-initiated ballot measures which amend the state Constitution. Measure 1, if passed, would institute 8-year term limits for ND Governor and the state legislature.

Though the words “term limits” are not in the ballot description, this measure is a term limit constitutional amendment. Term limits encourage new people to run for the legislature by removing incumbent advantage.
